Have you ever mowed a lawn? Have you ever washed dishes?
Have you ever dreaded doing them?
Is it hard to do either?
No.
Do you think and reflect while you do them?
Yes.
Isn't that good for you?
I don't presume to know most answers in life, but of this I am quite certain. Though chores may seem to be only chores, they are times of reflection and meditation. We dread them for no particular reason other than laziness, yet we want to blame the dread on something or someone else.
Why don't we want to do the dishes?
Maybe it's a question we should start asking.
